City of League - Novograd


The city has the peaceful look to it. This alone tell you the game designers really took detailed design as an important feature to the game. As I played my Trickster Gibberling through the town I found it organize and easy to navigate myself around the city and never once had any difficulty looking for anything I needed. First time MMO players should come to the league.

The City of the EMPIRE!


This is all you need to see. It looks like Russia. And I had to go to the next quarter to take this picture of the grand castle of the EMPIRE! Again I say very much detail was put into the design of the building, i would dare say better than some of the best MMO around and let me remind you the game is FREE TO PLAY. Why didn’t I place more images of the city? Well looking at this image is enough and you better experience it firsthand yourself. But the empire hasn’t had it all good, rebels, termites, elemental, undead arisen are in the city doing some damage and it’s your job as underlings to deal with them. I found it VERY HARD to navigate around the city, THANK YOU programmer for putting in the quest finder otherwise all would be lost and NOOBS would be stuck in the city for weeks.

Yes it took that long and its gonna be release into 3 pieces.

Blizzard is gonna release 3 set of Starcraft 2, which are the Terrans then Zerg & lastly Protoss.

Its gonna set you back close to RM200 Ringgit for us malaysians, what if each set cost the same price? RM600. But at least they'll be out on different dates throughout the year or maybe reaching 2011, who knows. A lot of people on the net are gonna make some noise but i'm pretty sure their gonna buy it anyways, Cause they waited for it for more then 1/10 their life.

Will i take this gibberling into my workplace? I need help since i have a child to take care of now. What say you?

Well..... I wasn't gonna put anything much but here are a few ingame images of my life starting in ALLOD. This images are what you'll find after you finish off the begineer zone.

Well, Well……… A lot of us weren’t expecting this. A lot of the C&C fans were expecting more from the game.

Likes:

1. They actually had really good design for the units in C&C4. Impressive

2. Graphics in the game didn’t demand much power but it was sweet to the eyes.

Dislikes:

1. Short story – Wasn’t worth the price

2. Small maps wasn’t good players vs players

3. Video movies were OK at best. (If I made a game in a roleplaying game I would give my customers a better looking ingame wife, was it a budget cut?)

4. That’s all I can make? Too little unit REALLY spoiled it for me.

5. Required constantly to be connected to the net which means you get disconnect in the middle of the game you better restart the mission.

6. What the hell happen to Kain again? Unclear to the untrained mind. Easy…… he wanted to go to the alien world. Why? I haven’t figured it out yet. Ask me again in 3 years....or maybe just forget it.

7. Main reason i dislike the game is it isn't C&C anymore and to add to that the new system does not work. It was fun but not VERY fun. Sad to say.



But the truth is, it wasn’t the cut scenes, design, constant net connection or anything like that, that killed the game but rather the new gameplay style it was made in, or copied from. Everyone was so used to MASS PRODUCTION of units & collecting of TIBERIUM which the game was named after in C&C series that we all were expecting pretty much the same.


EA did say “experimentation was necessary” with C&C4 and here you can readup on their responds on another site I found

Well that’s that! We’re gonna have to wait and see what’s next on their list.
Oh by the way I think EA mentioned C&C4 was the FINAL installment for Tiberium which means NO MORE TIBERIUM. What Say You? Maybe we can see KAIN in Red Alert.

ALLOD ONLINE HANDS-ON (MY HANDS) PART ONE

The Beginning

It’s been a long time since I found another decent MMO game to play and be interest in. I’ve search mounted high through the net look for MMO that might be cheaper or free to play and I have finally found one after a year of searching.

Installation
ALLOD ONLINE first glimpse at their screenshot gave me a lot of hope, and so I registered an account with gpotatos game portal who I assume their provider. It took me 2.5GB and a 450MB game update before I could play ALLOD.
The Story

Before we get into the gameplay, let’s see the theme & storyline of the game itself. Let’s summarize, two mages named Nezeb & Tenesess from a the most powerful group of mages in the world Sarnaut, both led nomadic tribe named Aro against Orcish tribes and won and began the Kanian Kingdom. Then the two mages fought for control over the kingdom. Nezeb lost and was banish to a desert, and Nezeb then lead another nomadic tribe name Urga and together they gain control over one of Kanian fertile lands and started an Empire called Xadaganian Kingdom. War wage over a millennia and five hundred years later come to a truce.

Later the world was shattered into a thousand pieces by Astral Energy (Long story cut short) Someone discovery how to use the Astral Energy capable of opening portals and demons started pouring out attacking the world.
Now that we’re done with that lets continue with the game itself. There are two factions in the game which are called the League & Empire.



The Race & their classes

The Empire consists of the race Xadaganian, Orcs & Arisen while The League consist of Kanians, Elves & Gibberlings.

The Empire

Xadaganian – Vanquisher, Avenger, Stalker, Defiler, Mentalist & Inquisitor
Orcs – Brute, Reaver, Marauder & Shaman
Arisen – Heretics, Sorcerers, Savant, Occultists

The League

Kanians – Champion, Crusader, Ranger, Cleric, Druid & Magician
Elves – Crusader, Priest, Archmage & Demonologist
Gibberlings – Brawler, Trickster, Animist, Seer

The Gaming Experience

I started off with both orc & gibberlings. There is a brief tutorial at the start teaching you basic use of controls. I found the game smooth and has a fast reaction compared to other free MMO. Cartoony feel to the game but it’s enough to keep you entertain & detail of the environment will impress you, there isn’t much free MMO that will rival in graphics you’ll find in Allod.
