The Solution is rather simple.

How hours of searching i finally found a solution from a youtube comment. Yes a COMMENT not the video.

I am not sure if this will work for nvidia cards but all you got to do is add this to the shortcut of your game.

STEP 1 : Start STEAM
STEP 2 : Go to Library in STEAM & Select Rage
STEP 3 : Right Click and go to Properties
STEP 4 : Click "Set Launch Option"
STEP 5 : Paste the following into the box "+jobs_numThreads 0 +cvaradd g_fov 12 +image_anisotropy 16 +image_usecompression 0 +g_showplayershadow 1 +m_smooth 0 +vt_maxPPF 8"
STEP 6: Click "OK".

Your Rage game should run smoothly now.

Driving my tank down the field, thinking of tons of enemy soldiers i would gun down with my trusty minigun. I slam the acceleration pedal heading into battle and dream of a glories entrance to ride the rock like a ram and surprise my enemies. That didn't work out cause apparently trees can hold on to a few tons of steel.

BETA is finally over and EA has promise bugs gone and like all new game they will have more. Like Bad Company 2 it will be fix as time go by. Remember People BETA is only 3.9GB the actually space required by Battlefield 3 is over 20GB+ ofcause we were gonna run into problems it wasn't a completed game.

I will be receiving my copy of Battlefield 3 and make a review.

I was once stricken with a disease it made me ignorant to my family and relatives, I was cursing myself and others, smashing my keyboard every time I failed to realize what I have done, made me failed my friends. Everything around me was nothing more than an unattractive part of my life. Yes I was a World of Warcraft Addict. I was a mighty Blood Elf Paladin Tank, I believe that it was my destiny to be a paladin, if I remembered correctly I had TIER 6 or 7 armor set for raiding. That was a sad story indeed.


WHY are they addicted to WOW?

Bragging rights, yes being a successful PVP arena or Raiding guild, players receive rare rewards such as equipments making them stand out from other players. I know how this feels; an individuality in-game is born making me feel that I’m the HERO of Azeroth. This is why players dance with their characters in the middle of a Capital City showing off his or her equipments looking for praises from other WOW players.

Friends, friends are a source of approval and acceptance; this helps boost the Addicts Esteem ten-folds and praising from friends help a hell lot as well. This makes the players loyal to his or her friends, friends who they’ve never even met before. This is strange since these players are willing to forsake real friends for friends they met in WOW.

Fantasy world, a lot of players actually wants to be a HERO/EVIL Ones. Choosing a faction Alliance or Horde makes this possible. Well if you actually knew the lore of WOW, none of the fractions were actually evil merely both side made mistakes, this is where it all comes in. The game makes you feel a part of the world and developers did a damn good job at it. Players are so engross in the game that they lose themselves in the world and the concept of protecting the weak becomes real to the player. In the players mind everything is real or wishes it to be real. Join in the RPG server and you can see for yourself how dedicated these players are to be this character they wish to be and it takes effort to act as a troll I tell you.

Taking the time and effort to learn skill in-game and yet wanting it to be real it’s funny that most of them might not be able to start a fire, if left in the wild on their own for real.

For me personally I was an Addict because of friends and the seeking of individuality. The sense of Lost, Yes believe it or not a player feels a sense of lost when they try to quit. Why? For me, I felt all those long hours in front of my computer to earn all the rewards and friends I made throughout my life in this Virtual world of Warcraft was lost to me if I didn’t play it. Why? I guess it was the long hours I spent trying to get everything I can and at the end when I stopped I felt it was all for nothing if I didn’t continue.

Some of you might want to know how YOU can be free of this addiction? I can’t give you an answer but I can tell you is that when I stop playing the WOW world, was when a big step in my life filled in a gap. I was blessed with a child of my own. I had to care for my wife during the 9 months of hectic care. So what I’m trying to say is that your life needs to take a drastic change, or find something better.

Even now I feel the urge to play WOW and it’s beckoning me. There really isn’t another WOW out there. But it actually depends on your gaming preference, I just so happen to enjoy WOW more than other MMO’s. Action response in the game is very good, you’ll understand if you live in a country other than in the US and connected to a US server as I do. I have so far been kept away from WOW by financial problems and the care for my daughter already coming 12 months old.

For me at least, I won’t be returning to World of Warcraft anytime soon by then it is possible I’ll find something new. If you’ve read my blog from the start most of you know I’m a Battlefield addict, plus it’s a game I can stop when I need to.

Yes Another must buy game on the shelf. There be Dragons! Yes Finally a game with Dragons worth fighting.

The Frostbite Engine and it's capabilities

These two monster of a card is out now and both are undermining the other.

I would like to say i have not tested these two cards on my own since it is not possible for me to cash in on any of these cards, however i have read many reviews and seen many video reviews about these cards. I would like to share my 2 cents of what i have seen and it's current market.

There are no reason why either of the cards will not work for you their both monster and differ very little.

6990 vs 590

1. Both cards are very LOUD, however the 590 is quieter then the 6990.
2. In Malaysia - 6990 is cheaper at only RM2100.00-2200.00 compared to the 590 at RM2700.00-2800.00. That's a big difference RM600.00 (USD198.18 currency dated 3rd April 2011). How much is it in your country?
3. 590 runs great on Crysis 2 and 6990 has driver issues with Crysis 20. Won't be long till they fix this.
4. Nvidia's Driver cause a hassle where it blow the card up. Many fall victims. Where was the quality tester?
5.6990 is currently using a turbine type fan. If there was more then one it would have been cooler.

My Personal thinking i would get the 6990 cause it's cheaper. However if i had the money i won't get either. The reason would be the Heatsinks, i would rather wait for better cooling either by manufacturers or third party coolers which can cool these cards better.

Don't get me wrong, 590 is a good card. But i'm not ready to fork out an extra RM600.00.

I had problems embed the video from official website, however thanks to the people on Machinima posting their video on youtube, we can have a look.

What i'm happy to see if that we might see a lot of new armors and not the usual we saw in Morrowind & Oblivion. I always wanted new armors in these kind of games, my biggest question about this game is "Are we gonna fight Dragons like in this video?" It would be nice and if anyone can do it, its the great people of Bethesda Softworks.

This game is gonna go all crazy on our computer hardware. Upgrade people.

Get a Good Graphic card (560, 6870, 6850), CPU (3Ghz above) and minimum 4GB of ram and you should be set.

Bethesda Softworks are really working hard this year. Releasing two games in one year with high expectations by thousands maybe millions of gamers waiting for their two most known games "RAGE" and "ELDERS SCROLL". Rage i betting is inspired partly from FALLOUT 3 & FALLOUT New Vegas, since it is a desert and called wastelands with many broken down buildings. But what sets it apart would be the graphics, if its anything like the video than i would call it a masterpiece of this day. Benchmark anyone??

Razor has release another version of the Naga's gaming mouse made for MMO's and are one of the favorites to date. I was blessed enough to get a close look at the mouse at the expense of my brother since this Naga actually belonged to him.



Pretty Lights~~~~ The naga definitely has the looks, but i expected it to be bigger cause it looks bigger in the pictures (Yes this is the year time i seen this mice in person). Well i like the mice to be BIG. The biggest mice for MMO i have seen so far is the Steel Series Warcraft Mice. It fits my whole hand.

Now lights OFF ~~~ As i look closer at the mice it strike me. DOTA Players rejoice, this is the mouse for you. For those who still play WARCRAFT III, yes its for you too. I found it very easy to set the button to everything i needed in-game. Take my word but be WARNED, your gonna need a little computer skill to customize it to your needs.

The twelve buttons on the side of the Naga is the key to YOUR success, Yes i said YOUR success. It doesn't matter if your playing Warcraft III, DOTA or World of Warcraft, how you use it is how it will work.


A closer look at the keys here. Their easily reached, to get used to this your gonna need Razor's Grid Trainer. Their small stickers you place on the keys to help you get used to where each buttons are located.


The Molten has a nice feel to it, It feels like Quality. I will be honest here. I had bad experience with Razor, namely Razor Lachesis & Adder. Adder didn't last me 1 Year and it was a limited Edition of Command & Conquer, Lachesis i got during my honeymoon. That lasted 1 year half.

But maybe i was unlucky cause friends of mine, YES FRIENDS more then one had really good experience with Razor where all of their mice lasted more then 2-3 Years.

This short footage is enough to reel me in like a fish on steroids.

Here's a game not many would actually return. The last game like this was American Mcgee's Alice. This Alice looks like it following suit, A very interesting concept and many would like to see it soon and many hope not to be disappointed. Well i for one is believing in their hardwork, this is because in this video above you can see the attention to detail of the design of the landscape and building design. Those were not done by lazy people, it takes time a effort to make something look that good so i believe when the game is finish, it will look good and plays good.

Dragon Age 2



Dragon Age 2 has made a little difference in gameplay and made it into an action pack gaming experience to lure interest from player who aren't into the whole pause and action, although you can still do that in Dragon Age 2 the developers has mention that it won't necessary and normal enemies will die to fast to even bother. A few more weeks to go.

Crysis 2



Crysis 2 Mulitplayer looks very interesting the possibility of having so much power is a great lure indeed and its an improvement from the first crysis multiplayer. But the truth is there are classes and each ability you will need to gain experience before you are bestowed these blessed skills and abilities. Basically you have the assault, you made a hole in the ground by jumping into the air and smashing the ground with everyone in range, Tracker / Invisible tracker who has the ability to see where your enemies once were and follow their tracks to them, snipers obviously what war type game wouldn't have a sniper and maybe the possibilities of mix and match.

Dungeon Siege 3



It looks like Dungeon Siege 3 has taken a new direction of gameplay by making it a 2 player co-op. Looks nice and i wonder if it has a singleplayer.

Darkspores



Like the game spores attracted many through evolution we so much enjoyed....for some at least. Darkspore provides a co-op action that has many gamers wondering if they spend their hard earn cash on a developer who made Sim's. They got my interest and i hope they can deliver.

All these games are just the frosting on the cake this year. Hope these will last me till the next best batch of games. And yes i didn't add F.3.A.R here cause i didn't want to yet. Why? I'm not sure myself. The game has eluded my interest for some reason.

This guy you see above the case is the new owner (Malcom) of the COOLMASTER USP100. This is a great budget case for those who likes it big and cheap. I take responsibility for recommending him the case, the USP100 has been in the market for quite awhile and i only just discovered this case in December 2010, by mistake while i was window shopping in town and my bro-in-law pointed it out. I was suprise to find out the price and it was at a reasonable RM155.00-185.00 or USD50.00-60.00 depending on the model.

There are 3 models for the USP100 and are as follows:-

1. Normal Case with normal grey interior with no acrylic side panel but capable of fitting 2 pcs of 80/90/120cm Fans
2. Still the same case but with acrylic side panel with the same capabilities of fitting 2 pcs of 80/90/120cm Fans
3. And the third model has an all Black interior.

Another view with the PSU (Power Supply Unit) fitted. This is a new Corsair 600W GS PSU. In this image you can see for yourself that there is a lot of space inside the case, and in the side panel behind the motherboard plate, there is a lot of space to hide your cables as well as. Cable Management is a plus but not a lot of it.

So i have finish Dead Space 1 and my Gaming Rig is up to par (I hope) Now i want to play Dead Space 2 and by watching the IGN Video, it's actually freaking me out. Enjoy. Need to order a copy for myself as soon as i can afford it.

Here we are in 2011, And even i have upgraded to stay a foot behind the requirements needed.

Games like Crysis 2, Dragon Age 2, Elders Scroll: Skyrim and many others. All need a decent gaming rig to not only run the games smoothly but to experiences the detailed graphics which brings these games to life.

Benchmark using Fraps i get the following Results all running with 1440 x 900 Resolution

Battlefield : Bad Company 2 Direct 11 running at Max Graphic with 8XAA
BENCHMARK RUNNING FOR 22000 Secs
MIN FPS - 15
MAX FPS - 78
AVERAGE FPS - 51

I'd like to also mention that i tested this on Black Ops, Crysis Warhead, Crysis & Dead Space 1.

I would be better if i describe my gaming experience with you then show you numbers. Lets face the truth, not everyone knows what the numbers represent.

So what i experience with the games and my Gaming Rig is as follows:-
1. NO LAG
2. MAX Graphics for all games. I Lowered Bad Company 2 AA's to X8 cause i experience a slight stuttering when i get hit by mortars & explosions.
3. Smooth Gameplay.

There isn't Much to tell but i'm enjoying myself to the MAX.

1. I was playing Dead Space and i was in a rush to finish it so i can play Dead Space

3. I wanted to play Battlefield Bad Company 2 A LOT. I had bad connections this entire month and I'm not happy.

4. I like donuts.

5. I am doing my assignment for a hopefully a life changing experience which will open doors for me and my family and hopefully a lot of extra cash for new computer parts.

6. I was on holiday mood.

7. Did i mention Dead Space?

8. Surveying upgrades for my Rig. (Remember i mention 6870)

9. My friends and colleagues wanted to upgrade or get a new pc so i helped them out.

10. I love my daughter - She is with me right now watching me type this post.

Ok there you have em. Top 10 excuses for not posting new columns.
